HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE 2023 ELECTION?
For some, things are back to normal, for some it has not and for some it will never come to normal. Analysis, theories and prophecies but only few have the desire to admit that they have sentiments. One thing whose usage has been largely abused in this season has been our tongues. Our guts and confidence appear to have improved but our decorum seems to have reduced. Who stopped literary and debating society in our public schools, such a person must be jailed because arguments now have to go the way of abuse.
Jealousy, wickedness, beefs and inconsistencies are camouflaged as patriotism and many are working hard to defend prophecies like final year projects. In the midst of all these some are taking advantage of the many rancours for financial and political gain. These ones are the smartest or the luckiest even if it’s only going to be for a season. Most of us are Jihadist or crusaders. We have proven that over time those who are privileged to be our leaders have successfully taught us what to think and not how to think.
What do you do when people aren’t buying into your concept or idea? Do you call them out, expose their ignorance, try to make them feel ashamed, create a fear factor or just mind your business? Emotional intelligence is on a low if your response is not appropriate. How many false narratives have you propagated all because it aligns with your sentiments.
I sincerely pray and hope Nigeria and her next leaders won’t fail because if they fail, it is a tragedy for the nation. However, hoping they fail so as to validate your point is meaningless, it only suggests that you care more about being right than the nation being great regardless of who leads us.
