WHY YOU SHOULD PRAY (PART 2)

WHY YOU SHOULD PRAY (PART 2)

Sometime ago Detrick Haddon sang the famous Ephesians 3:20 in songs and the song also became very famous. I remember a particular church I attended back then, the choir did song back to back for several Sundays. Look for the song if you can. However the verse of scripture ended with the principle that stated God’s deed will be according to the ‘power’ that is at work in us.

Now, I know we received power when the holy ghost came upon us. So there is a level of God’s ability or energy that we attract based on that energy. Moreover, have you considered the scripture that says the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous makes tremendous power available?

This scripture touched the issue of our identity I.e. prayer made by the RIGHTEOUS, it also touches the issue of quantity, frequency and zeal I.e. the fervency. Therefore a prayer with such attributes makes a lot of power available for us and for us. This kind of prayer may lure God into doing more than we can think.

Finally, the scripture also touched on what we ask or think. However, let us consider what we think God can or cannot do. Have you ever thought anything is outrageous to ask God? The truth is God can blow your mind if you give the chance by following principles. Pause a little, I’m writing this note to myself also and not just you.

Praying should be thrilling exercise if it is done according to principles because the result is predictable
