RANDOM THOUGHTS ABOUT SYSTEMS
One of the best things that can happen to an individual is to operate inside a functioning system. One of the greatest disservices a system can experience is for the people that make up the system to start acting contrary to the rules of engagement that are upholding the system. Systems are hard to build and even harder to sustain. It’s easier to mock those who have built one. Systems may suffer temporary setbacks from individual entities but it is going to take a stronger system to route out an unwanted one.
A crucial goal of any system is longevity therefore custodians of systems don’t joke with succession. A near-ideal example in Nigerian politics is Tinubu and his politics in Lagos state. A not particularly good example for morals 100% but no state or politician of his class has mastered the system like he does. Hate is such a terrible force as it blinds his slaves to life principles. Whatever hatred you have for a system that doesn’t move you into working inside a system will end in futility.
Systems are sustained by strict adherence to rules, adapting as occasion demands and someone must embody it. The reason why the British monarchy is still thriving in modern years is the long reign of EIIR. She is conservative and her longevity has helped sustain a lot of law, customs and tradition. History accounts for how she stood against the marriage of her sister to a divorcee. She was the head of the church in England and even though such a decision affects her closely, she chose duty over emotions. The monarchy stood against anything that may take the shine away from the crown. Anyone in the middle of such is given a plague treatment.
Systems are good in the sense that they offer protection to the most vulnerable members of the establishment. We are not all strong and purposeful but the system we belong to determines our protection. The Psalmist said a man whose sins are forgiven is blessed. That’s an outflow of God’s system of protecting and preserving his precious creation. Prices of sin must be paid in full but Jesus was the plan of the system to pay the price for the sin of mankind. Anyone black or white who openly pledge allegiance to Jesus is counted into the commonwealth.
