MY LIVING EXPERIENCE AT STONE DARTFORD

MY LIVING EXPERIENCE AT STONE DARTFORD

Stone is a village in Dartford,Kent and I lived there for 12 months, though I still have a few attachments to the place.  This includes my favourite place in Dartford, which is Stone Baptist Church,  my son pre-school was at Stone, and a very precious family that has been so kind to my family also lives there. Today, I want to share my opinion about Stone, Dartford.

First, it is peaceful, with a growing population, and with many green views all around.  It appears to me like a good location for a family home as it is so close to Darenth Valley Hospital which ranked 5th among all the NHS in the UK,  it shares a boundary with Bluewater shopping mall which also is the 5th largest shopping mall in the UK, close to two train stations (Dartford Station & Greenhithe station) and a good multiracial church which happen to be my church. I’m talking of Stone Baptist Church.

At Stone,  there is a preschool called “the ark” run by PlayPlace and hosted by Stone Baptist Church.  My son attended the place and it has a sizeable garden for the kids to enjoy summer. Stone shares boundaries with an outstanding primary school called “Brent School” a high school called “Stone Lodge” and St Mary School.  There are several outdoor play areas but I’m only familiar with “Jasmine Place”,  kids will enjoy the place.

Rents are fairly expensive at Stone though not the most expensive in Dartford, but considering other factors,  I think the prices are fair. There used to be a pub called Welsh Tavern,  I learned that the pub was built in the 18th century. Stone is about five minutes’ drive away from Dartford High Street, and the main street is serviced by both the London Red bus(492) and Arriva bus(480/490).

If you ever have reasons to live in Dartford,  you might want to consider Stone Village and I must also use this opportunity to invite you to my local church, Stone Baptist Church. You can check us out via Google or Facebook. The people are quite hospitable and the Pastor is fun to interact with.

It was 12 months of bliss for me at Stone and I have since left Stone for Temple Hill hopefully I will have good stories to share about the place.
