HOW COMMUNICATION CAN TAKE AWAY LOTS OF BURDENS
One of the things that makes communication effective is promptness. Communication during a crisis is especially very important. It is a frog that must be eaten not minding if our ego would be bruised. When we get a necked dip in difficult situations like debt or disappointment, it easier to keep things ourselves, trying to be strong, working ourselves up in fixing them but it is important to do the basics first. The basics are communing with folks we are indebted to, acknowledging the shortcomings, and stating our commitment to making things better.
Don’t make excuses for failing, just acknowledge the challenge. Communication does two things among many things, first, it prepares the mind of the people we have issues with for the worse, calms their nerves, and restores confidence a bit. Most often people are pained because they lost confidence in a thing or person. The reality of finding out that folks we trusted are not trustworthy is more painful than their momentary actions. Communication gives hope.
The second thing communication does especially when it is prompt is taking away the burden of the failure off one’s neck. The agony or pain of keeping our shortcomings off the knowledge of people that should know is more terrifying and destructive. Say it out and relieve yourself of some burden.
I have also realized that people can show empathy when they know the true situation of things. Of course, not everybody is reasonable but we must not allow people’s imagination to suggest the facts against us. It will be dangerous and their judgment will be brutal. You have done something crazy though you are not crazy therefore the earlier you open up showing who you are the better for everyone. Communication has to be prompt if it’s going to be very effective.
Finally, a famous song talks about the needless pain we bear all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.
