2023 ELECTIONS, THE FANS AND THE PLAYERS
It has been a while since I made any political comment and I missed that. I’m passionate about lifestyle and politics happens to be a big part of it. Politics and governance differ a lot. You don’t have to be an active politician to be part of governance. All that you need is for power-thirsty folks to trust you enough to commit responsibility to your hand.
The level of intolerance and aggressive exchange of words especially from the supporters of Peter Obi leaves just a little to the imagination. I wonder if this section of his supporters has plans of having friends and doing business after this election. The number of bridges that have been burnt on the altar of insults is alarming.
2023 is very strategic for everyone, especially the section of the church that has openly identified with Peter Obi. They have made him look like God’s own project. Honestly, I pray they are right and that the project works out fine. If it doesn’t, the ridicule the church has suffered before this time will be nothing compared to what will come. People that have teamed up to mock our miracles are now aligning for the sake of votes. It’s okay anyway.
I quite agree that BAT methods may be crude, unconventional, and possibly barbaric( if it can be proven) but you must also agree that speaking motivational words will not keep you in charge of a state like Lagos. What he has going for him in Lagos is the dream of any politician. However, only a few of them have hacked that. Ibori tried in Delta and Odilli in Rivers. Let’s not forget Obasanjo quit PDP when it became obvious he was not in control of the party and Peter Obi left APGA when he lost control of the party.
In being desperate, all powers belong to God and he is alone in his class. All politicians seeking power are not so far from each other. BAT has been eyeing the seat for so long, yes he’s desperate. However, someone who was invited to be governor and eventually served eight years, defected almost immediately after serving to the ruling party, contested on the presidential ticket of that party four years ago, and tried again a few months ago only to defect again when it became obvious he won’t get the ticket is termed the icon of hope. I salute you all.
While elections must be held, I don’t put my trust in the players because their quest no matter how colourful it is, is never about the masses. Fashola said it better when he defined democracy as the tyranny of the majority over the minority. The majority is not always right. Nigeria must work for everyone but Nigerians must not delegate the responsibility of greatness to one person. It is too much of a burden.
Wait, has any candidate spoken about the 1999 constitution or restructuring? They all know it’s a delicate matter to touch especially if you want to win an election. The goal is to win and every sentiment is allowed. I hope we know we are tending towards a religious election. I pray it doesn’t get to that.
Just a reminder, LP is an extension of PDP since the days of Mimiko. The flag bearers are PDP alumni and did you also see the video of the incoming governors of Osun and Ekiti on the jet dancing? Folks don’t sweat over this matter. It seems ATIKU is free a little from public scrutiny or is he the one setting everybody up?
Finally, democracy is men’s attempt to govern themselves by their wisdom. Even though God rules in the affairs of men, I believe he won’t choose a side in a game He didn’t institute.
Peace.
NOTE:
Still #BATIFIED.

But I still don’t see election as the solution to the problem facing this country.. for the obi supporters they should always ask themselves this question ‘what if he f***s up’
You have a valid point.

I love BAT too. Wish age was on his side. But no. If he can’t hold a proper posture or stay in Nigeria for a rigorous 1 month without flying to the UK for treatment, then we won’t have a president when he comes in.
The best choice looks like Peter Obi but what do I know? I will not be in the country when the election happens. God have mercy all of us.
Hmmm. Thanks for reading
